In a world increasingly defined by mobility and flexibility, the concept of a traditional, brick-and-mortar home is evolving. For some, the allure of a life untethered to a single location can become irresistible.
This book is an invitation to explore that lifestyle, not as a concept, but from someone doing it.
Living in Airbnb properties full-time is more than just a travelogue. It's a journey of self-discovery, a testament to human adaptability, and a blueprint for those considering this unconventional path. It’s about trading the familiar for the extraordinary, the predictable for the spontaneous.
Within these pages, you'll find tales of adventure, practical advice, and candid reflections on what it truly means to call every new place home. It's a book about finding community in transient spaces, building a life on the go, and embracing the freedom that comes with a suitcase as your only constant.
Whether you're a seasoned nomad or simply curious about this alternative way of living, this book can be a compass to guide you on your exploration of a world without walls.
Let's start the journey.
This is where it all started for Mike and I and we are proud to share a link to their website.
They do accept donations on their website and this is a little bit about what they do:
The Ed Keating Center provides a chance for sober living to recovering alcoholic, and drug-addicted, men and women.
Our three non-profit sober living facilities are home to about 150 men and women at a time.
The driving force is the belief that a chance for sober living should be available to anyone determined to overcome their addiction to alcohol or drugs, regardless of their ability to pay for the help they need.
They wrote a VERY nice review of this episode and of us in general (click link below), but they are also doing some very cool stuff over there. Check them out!

Travis Sackett is resilience personified. Having overcome an abusive childhood, Travis went to college to study criminal justice, hoping to become an agent for change.
While fulfilling this role, he was jaded by severe corruption in the system. During this time, Travis sustained an injury while training, resulting in an opioid addiction that led him to a life of crime.
Through the help of his canine companion, he pulled himself up and out of the mud and began living his life again.
As a fully disabled individual, Travis refused to be held back by circumstances.
He persevered and decided to share his story in his memoir My Life with Karma to increase empathy toward often-ignored populations that are forgotten or left without a voice.
